Ah, normalcy.
We were sent home this afternoon, Ori heading straight into a bath and myself into a shower. Nothing quite so indiscernibly clingy as hospital germs.
Ori has already had a round of bouncing on the bed, running back and forth between the kitchen and living room and a thorough reorientation w/ some of his favorite toys. It's not fun (or easy) to be a 2-yr-old confined to tubes in a shared hospital room for a couple days.
For now, his immune system is still low (though higher than it was). So his chemo meds are on hold until the immunity #s rise more. And until then, home confinement it is. Though, w/ all of his own toys at his disposal, he's like Br'er Rabbit: "Don't throw me in that briar patch!"
Thank you for your comments and emails of concern and support!
How 'bout some pictures in the next post, huh?
