At the end of Day 3...

It is sounding like we'll get to bring Ori home on schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, as planned.

So far he's done relatively well, considering there's a veritable medicine cabinet flowing through his body.  He's had to take meds in the form of pills, powder mixed with water, liquids orally and liquids intravenously.  Unfortunately tonight he could no longer fight off his nausea (despite the two different anti-nausea meds they've been giving him).

They changed and re-positioned the bandage covering the needle in his port, as well as the removal of a secondary bandage on his neck, and that has allowed him more flexibility to move his neck.  The morphine probably helped with that as well.

He's had his bed facing the window the past 24 hours or so, at first as a request to see the stars at night, and then to watch the freeway during the day (hoping to spot "exciting" vehicles - firetrucks, ambulances, garbage trucks, dump trucks).

It's great that the PCH nurses haven't flinched at that change, going along w/ the flow when they've come in.  You need an iron-clad spirit to do what they do for a living, and we have yet to come across a nurse at Phoenix Children's who doesn't.

Amazingly, Ori said yesterday, "I'm having such a great time at the hospital!"  Of course, that was before unpleasant bouts with constipation, nausea and changing bandages, so it'll be interesting to see what his assessment is once he's home.

And hopefully the next news will be that that's where he is, back home in comfortable, cozy surroundings.
