Even though Ori's ANC today (120s) dropped from yesterday (160s), his monocyte (white blood cell) count is up, which is an indicator that his body is on the brink of raising that ANC # any time soon. So the doctor sent us home.
Hooray!
There's a slight chance Ori may need a blood transfusion (his red blood cell count dropped from yesterday, though only slightly). But that can be done outpatient, and usually at the oncology clinic rather than the hospital. We'll know if he needs that after the weekend.
For now, we're home, bathed, fed and now napping. New toys have been opened and thoroughly played with, the laundry room has been busy and there's a backlog of Christmas cookies that are in dire need of baking (and tasting)!
And we made it in time to enjoy "'Twas the Night Before the Night Before Christmas" for a bed time story tonight. ;)
Merry Christmas!
