As if turning 6 while having to be in the hospital wouldn't have made it a memorable enough birthday, Ori was visited by a bunch of his Phoenix Fire Fighter friends to lift his spirits and light up his face!
Firefighter Daniel stopped by with balloons and cupcakes
Returning the favor of some of the visits Ori has made to their stations, fire fighters from Station 5 and Station 9 drove over to the hospital in their trucks just to come up to say Happy Birthday in person.

after their visit was cut short by an emergency call
Station 9's Engine truck and Ladder Tender truck both stopped by to spend time with Ori (good thing there wasn't a fire emergency!)

Thank you, Phoenix Fire friends!
And thank you PCH Child Life!
If only every birthday could be spent in the hospital! ;)

While no one would want to have this type of thing happen to any child, it does make us all keep in mind how many truly wonderful, and giving, people there are in the world.
Happy Birthday Ori and best wishes to the entire family. A special note of appreciation also goes out to all the big-hearted fire departments who are playing such a big role in Ori's care.
What a special birthday!
