It's hard to believe, but Ori started his last cycle of chemotherapy a few weeks ago. Now we know the official date of his last (hopefully FOREVER!!!) chemotherapy-December 18th.
We are all very excited, especially Ori. He has been waiting to get his port out so that he can play on a baseball team. We are hoping to schedule the port removal for the first of January. Then it's time to join a baseball team!
With all of this excitement also comes a bit of uncertainty and anxiety. We just don't know what the future will hold. We will be going to the clinic for monthly blood tests, hoping that each month his blood is free of leukemia. It's not until at least two years from now that we can officially say he is cured. That is a long way away, especially since the leukemia has come back once already.
But, we are moving into this next phase with joy and anticipation. Whatever the future will bring, we will just take it one day at a time. We, Ori included, are all aware that the leukemia could return at anytime. Even with that knowledge, we will still live each day in the knowledge that, for now, he is leukemia-free.

You guys are always in our thoughts and prayers. Very glad to hear you have an end date. You all, and Ori especially, deserve it. Looking forward to seeing pics of Ori in his baseball gear and enjoying life as he should be.
