Done

On Thursday Ori was given his last dose of chemotherapy.  He was excited, but mostly he felt a great sense of relief.  We all did.  The boys made cookies to take to all the nurses and doctors, but it was mostly just a normal visit to the clinic, which was kind of nice.  It fit our cautiously optimistic moods.

Even though Ori is done with chemo, we still will be visiting the clinic fairly often.  He's scheduled for a final lumbar puncture in two weeks, and he'll be having surgery in early January to remove his port.  Then we'll be visiting the clinic once a month to check his blood levels.

The boys are both looking forward to Christmas, but Ori said last week that Santa already gave him the best gift ever.  He was referring to his last chemo of course.  Such a non-normal yet so normal gift for Ori to love...

Did I mention that Batman and Spiderman were at the clinic?
They just stopped by to visit with a few of their heroes.

Our little heroes with their favorite superheroes.
