In Remission!

We received the news yesterday that Ori's leukemia is officially in remission.  We are relieved to know that the CAR-t treatment worked, and with so little side effects!

We've already begun the large amounts of tests required before Ori can receive the bone marrow transplant.  So far his organs are looking strong and all are functioning normally.  All good news!  Ori will be going into transplant strong and healthy, something that would not have happened had we chosen the traditional route of chemotherapy.

Not only did the CAR-t treatment offer a much better possibility of remission, it also did so without the harsh side effects of chemo.  We can't begin to express what hope that brings us as Ori enters transplant.
