Day 0

Yesterday was transplant day, or Day 0 as it's called around here.  It was a pretty uneventful day considering how momentous it is.  The process looked a lot like a blood transfusion, as the new bone marrow was simply infused through Ori's broviac.  The whole transplant took about an hour, and Ori was up and about with Andon building Legos most of the time.

Now we will wait and watch, hoping that his body will react well.  We are so grateful to his donor, our 19 year old European friend as we call him.  He's not much older than a kid himself, and to do something so selfless at such a young age is inspiring.
