Day +16

Ori is progressing well through his transplant.  After a week of feeling yucky with a very sore throat and a few fevers, he is feeling so much better.  His cells are beginning to grow, which is helping his body to heal.
He is feeling good most days, and his doctors are happy with all of the progress he has made.

We are hopeful that he will be able to come home within the next few weeks, but we will just have to wait and see what his body decides to do.  Watching for and treating host vs. graft disease is the final part of the process.

So we are continuing to do our best to enjoy each day together.  Even though we are stuck in the hospital room, we've managed to come up with lots of ways to spend our time.  Lately Andon has enjoyed playing paddle ball in the room, and Ori has been busy listening to fire fighter dispatch calls and building things.

It's certainly not a normal life, but it's still a great one.
