A day full of surprises

We were surprised this morning to learn that Ori's ANC had reached 224.  A huge jump from the 40 of yesterday.  His little body is beginning to make those much needed white blood cells!

We were even more surprised to hear the doctors tell us that we could go home this afternoon.  Great news since we will be back in just over a week for a scheduled 3-5 day stay.

Imagine how surprised we were when the nurse came into our room at 11:30 and said "OK, time to go home!"

I still can't believe we are home, especially after we were told numerous times not to expect to go home until most likely Thursday or Friday.

We are happy to be home, and we plan to enjoy these next 10 days.  Ori will be well enough this weekend to get out and see friends.  He is excited!

Look out fire stations 12 and 9!  We might just be headed your way soon!

Hi there,

I am glad to hear you are having a good day. When Ori is ready to head out to East Mesa, the fire station will be happy to have him come and visit. Please see the email below from FF Blu Caton:

"Ya...I will get you some good pics, I can make him an honorary ff for day if you would like to call and we can set it up, he can eat with us and ride on firetruck for a day or even just couple hours, its up to his parents...let me know, we can make it a super special day for him."
