As most of you know, we love firetrucks, firefighters and fire stations around here. Our local Phoenix firefighters have been amazing friends to Ori, especially when they came to help make his Wish come true back in October.
Knowing that we share such a bond with our local firefighters, I didn't hesitate to let them know about Ori's relapse of leukemia.
One night last month while we were still in the hospital with Ori, I sent an email to Fire Chief Khan letting him know not only about Ori's relapse, but also about how much the Phoenix firefighters mean to him.
I was hoping that he would share the news of Ori's relapse with some of the firefighter friends who helped make his wish come true. We also wanted to make sure that our local station 27 knew, too.
Chief Khan was so touched by Ori's story that he has shared it with as many firefighters as he can. We have been receiving phone calls from many Phoenix firefighters offering all kinds of support and encouragement. It is amazing!
Even though Ori had a rough last week, we still managed to squeeze in a couple of fun surprises. Thanks once again to the Phoenix firefighters!

Thanks to our new friend firefighter Scott, the next day we were off to another station, station 37 for brunch.
